Marya Stark

Marya Stark is a women’s leadership expert who has founded highly successful platforms that have changed the face of leadership in the US. Before founding Trajectory, Marya co-founded Emerge America, the premier political leadership training organization for women in the US, with 30 statewide programs and over 4,500 alumnae. Over 1,000 Emerge alumnae currently serve in public office, including the first Native American women to serve in the US Cabinet, Secretary Deb Haaland, Congresswoman Lucy McBath and San Francisco Mayor London Breed. As Founding President and subsequently its Board Chair, Marya led Emerge for its first eight years. Marya brings this same vision, passion and intentionality to changing the face of leadership in the business world. Trajectory's programs combine a peer group coaching model paired with outstanding executive coaches who provide leadership development in every session. We all need insight, reflection and accountability to be our best selves and Trajectory's expert coaching and intentional design delivers. Trajectory curates its groups to include women from the most influential sectors: tech, media, finance, entertainment, health care and political consulting. This intentional networking approach, which cross-pollinates women across industries and generations, brings exponential growth to its members. Trajectory Women members also have the opportunity to meet with our Advisory Board members in intimate settings, including Ambassador Karen Kornbluh, writer and activist Soraya Chemaly, Executive Coach Leigh Kearney and a growing array of powerful women who are equally passionate about advancing women’s leadership. Marya has contributed writing and video productions to many publications including the Financial Times, Slate, Quartz, Yahoo News, the Women’s Media Center, and the Huffington Post. She started her career in investment banking in New York, which became a clarion call for much needed change. Marya received her undergraduate degree in Business Administration from UC Berkeley and a Masters in Applied Statistics from Georgetown University.
